Be Here Now Yoga Healing and Wellness on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. is not your typical yoga studio. Of course you’ll find some of the usual like great yoga classes every day of the year, mats and props, and tons of brightly painted yoga-panted legs walking around the studio. But what makes BHNY so unique is its beautifully down-to-earth approach to making yoga accessible to anybody willing to give it a try, and the safe and welcoming space it provides for each personal experience.

And they mean it! That ability to hold space for personal experience in a yoga class, workshop, or training is what lets the therapeutic effects of yoga be present.

On top of its accepting approach and homey vibe, BHNY is also a Registered Yoga School and a Platinum Training Provider with the International Institute for Complementary Therapists. Increasing Flexibility in a Safe and Healthy Way with Caroline Bondurant

July 6: Hips + Hamstrings Flexibility Workshop

July 13: Spinal Flexibility Workshop

July 27: Advanced Flexibility Workshop

Saturdays from 1:00-2:30pm

The first 3 workshops are for all levels. Stretching techniques will be provided for all levels/abilities. Props will be utilized to help participants find the ideal positions for stretching at their individual levels. The Advanced Flexibility Workshop will focus on advanced poses, so either taking the first 3 workshops before or having a strong flexibility practice is encouraged as a prerequisite.

Receive 1.5 CEU contact hours through Yoga Alliance for taking an individual workshop or 6 hours for the series.

In this self-healing practice guided breathing, body scan, and meditation are used to bring the body and mind into a state of peace. In this state, the nervous system’s rest and restore mode is prompted allowing for purification, re-calibration, and regeneration in all body systems. The relaxed state also has the effect of peeling away the layers leaving you in a deeper state of awareness and resting in your true nature.
